Happy 2012 Bay Area Brunchers!
Resolution #1: More brunching and more blogging!
The Liberties was the first Bay Area Brunch for 2012. It was convenient, not too crowded, and being a fan of their late night (till 1am) menu thought the brunch would be worth a try.
The Savory Bread Pudding with Sausage and Red Wine Gravy sounded good but unfortunately it was burned, rock hard, and barely edible. It came with a choice of Eggs (Fried) and a Mixed Green Salad.
The Farmer’s Omelette was a better choice as it was filled with sauteed mushrooms and diced red bell peppers. The egg itself was dry though and the sliced avocado on top was over ripened and brown. Resolving to “eat healthier” in 2012, I chose a side salad instead of home fries on the side.
Perhaps, liquid brunch is the way to go here as the tables nearby seemed to be enjoying their buckets of $12 mimosa and hair-of-the-dog Bloody Marys much more.
As for me, I’ll probably stick to the Liberties’ Veggie Burger and a huge vat of crispy Sweet Potato Fries. (Healthy eating resolution be damned!)
